As the most difficult months of the corona-crisis have hopefully passed and we are slowly adapting to a new normality, we decided on new dates for the XIIIth International Controlled and Modified Atmosphere Research Conference (CAMA). It is, therefore, with great pleasure that we invite you to CAMA2021 that will take place from August 15 to 18, 2021, in Leuven, Belgium.
With the theme ‘Fast Forward to a Fresh Future’ we aim at creating a unique exchange forum for discussing recent progress in scientific knowledge and industrial development of controlled and modified atmosphere technology for fruit and vegetables. During this 4-day event, we provide ample opportunities for presenting fundamental and applied research and technical innovations, discuss with international experts from academia and industry, exhibit products and services, participate in social events and join technical tours.
The conference will be organised by the staff of the MeBioS Postharvest group of KU Leuven and the Flanders Centre of Postharvest Technology, in close collaboration with the ISHS, who will do every effort to make CAMA2021 a memorable edition of the CAMA series. Meanwhile, we will tightly monitor the evolving situation of COVID-19 to develop a proper formula for the conference combining physical and on-line meetings where possible to provide a safe environment for an inspiring scientific exchange forum.
Looking forward to meeting you in the vibrant city of Leuven in August 2021.
Bart Nicolaï and Maarten Hertog, conference chairs.
